The Best Lawyers in America
One hundred eighty-one Skadden attorneys across all nine of the firm’s U.S. offices are listed as being among the most elite lawyers in their cities or practices in The Best Lawyers in America (2011). Skadden has more lawyers listed than any other law firm in nationwide Mergers and Acquisitions and Securities Law categories, as well as the most lawyers listed in New York. Fifty-three attorneys are recognized in more than one area.

The American Lawyer once again named Skadden to its “A-List” of the 20 most successful firms. The rankings are based on revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, diversity and associate satisfaction.
Who's Who Legal

Who's Who Legal named Skadden the Law Firm of the Year: USA for the fifth consecutive year. The firm has held the top spot every year since the award's inception in 2006. Corporate League Tables: Half-Year 2010

Skadden ranked first in M&A by dollar value of deals globally and in the United States – both overall and in representations of principals – according to half-year rankings from Bloomberg. Thomson Reuters gave Skadden similar top rankings, noting the firm was first in global and U.S. M&A by dollar value, according to announced deals through the second quarter of 2010.

Additionally, according to the Thomson Reuters rankings, Skadden ranked first in M&A by dollar value in the U.S. health care industry, in Europe and in Japan’s media and entertainment and technology sectors. Bloomberg also reported that Skadden ranked first in M&A by dollar value in Brazil for the same period.

In the 2010 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, 208 Skadden attorneys received a total of 255 individu­al rankings as leading lawyers in their practices — more than any other firm.  The firm was recognized in 81 of Chambers’ rankings by prac­tice and jurisdiction — 33 of which were top-tier.

In addition, Skadden received a Chambers USA Award for Excellence for "Tax Department of the Year" for the second consecutive year.  The award recognizes practices that have done outstanding work in the previous year.
