On February 8, Chicago litigation partner Charles Smith spoke at the second annual "FCPA/Whistleblower: Anti-Corruption Update" program in Chicago. Topics included new SEC whistleblowing rules; DOJ and SEC enforcement and litigation; a business perspective on the increased risk of multijurisdictional enforcement in the U.S. and globally; an update on compliance and remediation; SEC cooperation initiative; new SEC policy on admit nor deny"; and the role of the board and CEO, among other topics.
