24th Annual Energy and Infrastructure Projects Conference

On May 9, Skadden’s Washington, D.C. office hosted its 24th annual Energy and Infrastructure Projects Conference, which focused on recent developments and opportunities in energy generation, energy transmission, hydrogen and carbon capture transactions — including debt and tax equity finance — and mergers and acquisitions. Skadden speakers included partners David Armstrong, Drew Baldinger, Lance Brasher, Julia Czarniak, Paul Kraske, Aryan Moniri, Nike Opadiran and Sean Shimamoto. The conference keynote address was delivered by the co-founder and CEO of D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments. Other speakers included executives from Bank of America, BayWa r.e., Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Pattern Energy, and representatives from other energy and financial services companies. The conference was preceded by a dinner and briefing that focused on ESG considerations, supply chain issues and Inflation Reduction Act updates. Skadden speakers at the pre-conference briefing included partners Anita Bandy, Raquel Fox and Mike Leiter and counsel Brooks Allen. The dinner keynote address was delivered by a Skadden alum who serves as senior adviser to the administrator and acting director for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund at the Environmental Protection Agency.
