2015 Edition of the IFLR1000: Top Tier for UK M&A
Skadden’s London M&A team has received a Tier 1 ranking in the 2015 edition of the IFLR1000, alongside four of the U.K.’s Magic Circle firms. This is the first time a leading directory has ranked any U.S. or other international firm in the highest tier for M&A in the U.K.
Financial Times 2014 European 'Innovative Lawyers' Report
Skadden ranked third in “Legal Expertise” — the category that measures a firm’s ability to provide innovative service — in the 2014 Financial Times “Innovative Lawyers” report for Europe. The Firm ranked 11th overall, with one “Stand Out” and three “Highly Commended” matters in the finance, dispute resolution and corporate/commercial categories. Skadden is the only firm to rank in the top three for “Legal Expertise” in both 2013 and 2014.
2014 Third-Quarter M&A League Tables
In the third-quarter league tables, Skadden ranks No. 1 in global M&A deals based on total transaction value to date in 2014. The unanimous ranking by Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and mergermarket marks the third time in three quarters that Skadden topped the 2014 M&A tables.
BTI’s ‘Litigation Outlook 2015’ Survey
BTI’s ‘Litigation Outlook 2015’ Survey For the fourth time in a row, Skadden was named a member of the "Fearsome Foursome" — the four elite law firm litigation practices that "clients would least like to see on the other side of the table" — in a survey of 300 corporate counsel at the world’s largest companies published by BTI Consulting in September 2014. Skadden is one of only two firms to be named to this list in all four editions of the report.
The "Litigation Outlook 2015" survey also noted Skadden as one of three "powerhouses" in BTI’s Securities and Finance Litigation category and a "standout" firm in its Class Action/Tort and Product Liability categories.
