Skadden has been named Washington, D.C.'s "Litigation Department of the Year" for Products Liability by The National Law Journal (June 29, 2015). The publication noted Skadden's role crafting novel and noteworthy defense strategies for companies such as Altria, Johnson & Johnson and Merck.
Skadden has received two awards recognizing our European attorneys' representation of Italian clients in major cross-border matters: "Law Firm of the Year/Italy Desk" from Premio Le Fonti (June 25, 2015) and "Law Firm of the Year — Italian Commitment" from Legalcommunity (June 30, 2015). These awards follow Skadden's selection as "Italy Desk of the Year" by TopLegal in 2014.
Skadden has received the International Legal Alliance Award for "Best Overall U.S. Corporate Law Firm" for the second year in a row. A panel of 150 general counsel of Fortune 500 companies made the selection, which was announced on June 24, 2015. Skadden also was named a leading firm in the areas of Competition, Project Finance and International Arbitration.
At the Financial Times annual "Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers" awards ceremony (June 10, 2015), Skadden won the "Innovation in Finance Law" award for international firms, in recognition of our representation of Cogobuy Group in its IPO and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Skadden has won the award both years since its inception.

Skadden also received a 2015 Chambers USA "Award for Excellence" for having the nation's top tax practice. In addition, New York M&A partner Peter Allan Atkins was honored with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his accomplishments and continuing work as "one of the world's foremost authorities on corporate and securities law."
For the 15th consecutive year, Skadden has been named the top U.S. law firm in Corporate Board Member magazine's annual survey of "America's Best Corporate Law Firms" (May 2015), which asked directors of publicly traded companies what firms they would "most likely turn to for corporate legal matters of national scope."
For the second year in a row, Skadden was named "Investigations Firm of the Year" at the global Who's Who Legal Awards, in Washington, D.C. (April 27, 2015).
For the fourth consecutive year, Skadden took the top spot in a report that identifies law firms with the strongest brands. The "BTI Brand Elite 2015: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms" report (April 2015) is based on almost 650 interviews with corporate counsel at companies with an average revenue of $17.5 billion, according to BTI Consulting Group, Inc.
Skadden was one of only five firms selected as a 2015 "Employer of Choice" for Hong Kong by Asian Legal Business (April 2015). Compiled using survey responses from thousands of law firm employees across Asia, the rankings are based on job satisfaction, remuneration, work-life balance, career prospects, mentorship, job security and other aspects.
Skadden was listed as a leading firm in the disputes and tax rankings released by French directory Décideurs in the areas of commercial disputes; financial disputes; disputes concerning the operations of French-listed companies, the Financial Markets Authority and the Prudential Supervisory Authority; international group tax; and transactions tax.
