JUVE has recognized 10 Skadden practices in its 2015-16 ranking of Germany's leading law firms (October 2015).
Chambers UK has recognized 13 Skadden practices, 24 partners and three counsel in its 2016 guide (October 2015). In Litigation, the firm was elevated from "Highly Regarded" to "Elite," the publication's highest Litigation bracket. Skadden also raised two tiers in Public International Law. In rankings of leading individuals, we received new rankings in Financial Crime, Insurance, International Arbitration, Litigation and Tax and a promotion in Public International Law.
Skadden is the leader in 2015 M&A deals involving real estate investment trusts both in the U.S. and worldwide, with about $18.5 billion worth of announced deals so far this year, according to Dealogic data published by Law360 (October 30, 2015).
Skadden's French M&A department was awarded four stars out of five in Option Droit & Affaires' annual M&A ranking (October 2015).
Skadden was named the U.S. News — Best Lawyers "Law Firm of the Year" in both the Banking & Finance Law and the Commercial Litigation categories as part of the publication's 2016 "Best Law Firms" survey (November 2, 2015). Skadden also was recognized as a leading firm in 177 separate practices and regions, receiving 137 "Tier 1" rankings. Rankings are based on client evaluations and peer reviews from leading attorneys in their fields.
Skadden has been named the winner of the 2015 Legal 500 US Award for Insurance (October 14, 2015). According to the publication, winners are chosen based on over 50,000 interviews with legal industry professionals, and the awards recognize work done over the past 12 months.
Skadden has been named the winner of the 2015 Legal 500 UK Award for "Corporate Tax," announced in October 2015. According to the publication, "the awards are based on the opinions of the 250,000 in-house lawyers we contact throughout the year, and the in-depth research that our team conducts into law firms."
Skadden was among those honored with the "Global Citizenship Award (Grand Prize)" at The American Lawyer "Global Legal Awards" on September 28, 2015, for their roles representing Indian guest workers in the largest series of labor trafficking cases in U.S. history. Skadden also was presented with four other awards by The American Lawyer, including "Global Dispute of the Year, Investigations," "Global M&A Deal of the Year, China," "Global M&A Deal of the Year, Ireland" and "Global Pro Bono Dispute of the Year."
Skadden was named as having one of the top three practices worldwide in Global Investigations Review's inaugural "GIR 30," a ranking of leading firms handling internal and government-led investigations.
