His experience spans business and legal affairs, finance and operations, development and production, acquisitions, and distribution. David Eisman, head of the firm’s Entertainment Group and partner in the Los Angeles office, said, “Neil is a terrific entertainment lawyer who will enhance our scope of services to industry clients as we continue to expand our transactional entertainment platform globally. His skills will enable us to become a one-stop solution for clients seeking entertainment-related advice and counsel before, during and after a transaction.” Mr. Eisman noted that Mr. Sacker’s entertainment law and operational experience complements Skadden’s transactional entertainment practice, which represents prominent studios, production companies, talent agents and managers, film financiers, industry executives, and talent. "Joining Skadden’s Entertainment Group is an amazing opportunity to work with some of the very best attorneys in the world,” said Mr. Sacker. “With its creative culture and broad spectrum of capabilities, Skadden is the ideal firm to help entertainment and media clients achieve their business goals." Earlier in his career Mr. Sacker was employed as senior counsel at Warner Bros. He then joined Miramax Films, where he was responsible for all aspects of business and legal affairs and litigation covering more than 75 films. He was chief operating officer of Yari Film Group and then president of The Film Department, where he oversaw all areas of the business, including development, production, business and legal affairs, finance, and international sales. Mr. Sacker also was president of Big Air Studios, a motion picture marketing and distribution company, and then a senior adviser at another prominent law firm. A graduate of Cornell University, Mr. Sacker received his law degree from Yale Law School in 1986.
