The New York office of Skadden, Arps is seeking to hire an attorney who would report to our Global Head of the Firm's Labor & Employment Group and our Firm Counsel. Candidate would be responsible for the Firm's Labor & Employment law compliance which includes, but is not limited to:

• Providing advice and counsel to Firm's Human Resources, Attorney Recruiting, Attorney Development and Benefits departments, among others, with respect to all aspects employment law compliance
• Conducting legal research
• Drafting and reviewing agreements, including service agreements with vendors 
• Responding to employment-related subpoenas and requests for information
• Preparing and conducting compliance training on employment matters
• Participating in US and international audits to ensure compliance with employment law
• Conducting yearly review of Firm's employment policies and procedures
• Providing advice with respect to benefits matters, including workers' compensation and HIPAA
• Monitoring legal developments, including passage of new employment-related laws
• Working closely with Firm's Office of General Counsel 

Ideal candidate should hold a JD from an accredited Law School and have at least 3 years of relevant law firm experience in the Labor & Employment group (additional in house experience a plus). Candidate should be detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills as well as excellent analytical skills. Willing to hire someone looking for a flexible work schedule (80%-100%)
