Mid to Senior-Level Associate

São Paulo

The Corporate group of the São Paulo office is seeking to hire mid to senior-level, experienced Capital Markets attorneys with ability to lead transactions. Focus on candidates with capital markets background; however, willing to consider any general corporate background as well.  Portuguese language skills are strongly preferred (or willingness to learn). While the ideal candidate would already be based in São Paulo, relocation is not an issue, and the Firm can provide visa and relocation support. High level of academic achievement and solid law firm experience is a must.

Our work in Latin America has been recognized in numerous publications. In 2020, we received the 2020 Chambers Latin America award for top International Counsel in Latin America: Corporate Finance. We once again were named the top firm for Corporate/M&A and among the top two firms overall in the region by Latinvex’s Top Law Firms 2021. Skadden also received high rankings for Arbitration, Aviation, Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Energy, FCPA, Litigation, Mining and Project Finance. Skadden ranked in the top tier for Corporate/M&A and Banking and Finance in Latin America by Chambers Global 2021 and Chambers Latin America 2021. We also were recognized by Latin Lawyer, LatinFinance and other publications with “deal of the year” distinctions for numerous representations in the region.

These efforts, along with our professional development and other Skadden benefits, including a hybrid work model with work from home flexibility, underscores Skadden's long-standing commitment to investing in its people, culture and diversity. We also have an extensive pro bono program that allows attorneys to devote, and receive credit for, time for myriad causes that spark their interests and matches those interests with the legal needs in the community.
