Attorney Development and Recruiting Assistant

Job Summary

Skadden is looking for Attorney Development and Recruiting Assistant to assists with Attorney Recruiting & Development in Asia including attorney development administration, data entry and graduate recruiting support. Additionally, this position will: 

  • Assists with new hire and orientation paperwork including but not limited to conflicts checks, background checks, personal data forms, transcript requests, checklists and other required paperwork; distribution to correct parties after completion.
  • Assists with scheduling orientations for Attorneys, LPMs, Trainee Solicitors and student hires.
  • Assists with administering the evaluation process (follow ups, scheduling review meetings, etc.)
  • Lawcruit and Workday data entry.
  • Assists with preparing departure packets.
  • Assists with scanning files into system.
  • Assists with mentor and morale programs for Attorneys, LPMs, Trainee Solicitors and student hires.
  • Administrative support with law fairs, student events and sponsorships.
  • Assists with Attorney training admin (as needed).
  • Assists Attorney Recruiting & Development Team on administrative matters generally and as required.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operations, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities 
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Experience in an International office environment
