The Opportunity

We are seeking a Client Accounting Alternative Fee Agreements Analyst to join our Firm. Within this position, you will review and analyze documents and data; execute projects; and synthesize and present information directly to partners and senior management to meet the evolving needs of the Firm. This position will be based in our New York office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. 

As the Client Accounting Alternative Fee Agreements Analyst you will:

  • Review documentation and electronic files to create database records summarizing alternative fee agreements (AFAs); perform ongoing maintenance of related database.
  • Analyze documents and data, interpret results and summarize findings within the context of legal services provided.
  • Monitor and analyze performance of individual matters and portfolios of business against established budgets, revenue, and realization.
  • Prepare fee proposals based on the nature of services and type of fee arrangement.
  • Compile and analyze historical data, identify trends, and recommend optimal fee structures to offer services profitably.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and demonstrate strategic thinking based on the needs of executive management of the Firm.
  • Provide relevant knowledge and support to others in the Firm in a manner that increases the level of understanding of and facilitates the implementation of AFAs.
  • Understand and respond to inquiries and requests made by attorneys, secretaries, legal assistants, and staff and exhibit this understanding through the use of effective communication.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Working knowledge of job related computer technology/software, e.g. Excel, Word, and relational databases

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of three years related experience

Salary Details

The starting base salary for this New York position is expected to be between $90,000 to $100,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
