The Opportunity

Skadden is looking for a Legal Technology Training & Support Coordinator. This role trains end-users in the use of Legal Technology applications and provides on-going support.  Develops and maintains standard training materials and course outlines.  Works with other offices to ensure that training needs are met. Coordinates Firm-wide Legal Technology Training plans. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Developing training plans for Firm-wide roll-out of new Legal Technology software.
  • Providing group or one-on-one training sessions to attorneys, legal assistants and support staff in both domestic and international offices.
  • Providing "just-in-time" training to end-users, as referred by the Legal Technology Help Desk.
  • Providing case-specific training, focusing on using applications to address the specific needs of the case team.
  • Developing and maintaining training materials, documentation, quick tips and/or best practice guides.
  • Creating, designing and maintaining training modules including subject based training demos, “How To” training videos and FAQ’s as required.
  • Scheduling training sessions and maintains training attendance records.
  • Providing on-going end-user support via phone or email.
  • Conducting training needs analysis.
  • Assisting with the training and development of the Legal Technology Help Desk staff.
  • Assisting with quality assurance testing of internally and externally developed software applications.
  • Demonstrating effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Managing Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complying with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.


  • Strong understanding of the Litigation Review Process
  • Thorough working knowledge of litigation support applications (e.g., Relativity, TimeMap
    and CaseMap)
  • Ability to assimilate new product specifications and capabilities rapidly and relate them to user requirements
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills 
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment 
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
  • Flexibility to travel


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of seven years of related work experience inclusive of five years of applications training experience in a legal or professional services environment

Salary Details

The starting base salary for this New York position is expected to be between $120,000 to $135,000 annually.  Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
