The Opportunity

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for compiling and formatting Firm news for internal distribution on daily basis as well as handling various administrative tasks and projects for the Global Marketing and Communications department. This position will be based in our New York office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

As the Marketing & Communications Assistant you will:

  • Monitor, track, and compile media coverage related to the Firm, practices, and partners. Format for inclusion in daily internal news distributions Firm-wide.
  • Assist with database entry of Public Relations activities and produce reports as needed.
  • Maintain and organize various files, spreadsheets, and folders related to items such as directories submissions, Firm press announcements, and other materials.
  • Update and maintain department contact lists, distribution lists, and organizational charts.
  • Handle scheduling and other administrative tasks related to department meetings.
  • Assists department personnel with filing, research, and other administrative tasks.
  • Handle bill processing, order placement, and record keeping department-wide.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Excellent database skills (mining, entry, maintenance)
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of two years’ related experience
