The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager, Firm Recognition to join our Firm in our New York office (hybrid). This role will be responsible for leading the firm’s participation in directories, awards, and survey submissions across litigation practices. The Project Manager, Firm Recognition is also responsible for securing prominent recognition of the firm's work that can be directly leveraged for business development and marketing efforts. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working with litigation practices, in order to strategize with practice leaders and partners on positioning, identifying potential new opportunities for recognition, and writing and editing submissions with the goal of enhancing the firm brand.  

  • Manages firm recognition projects for litigation practices. 
  • Works with firm management to best position the firm, its practices and attorneys. 
  • Works with practice leaders and marketing colleagues to develop plans to best implement practice goals and priorities.
  • Works independently and directly with practice leaders to develop strategy and tactics to best position each practice and its attorneys. 
  • Coordinates firm recognition efforts with marketing colleagues in Europe, Asia and other U.S. offices, including providing oversight and identifying/implementing best practices. 
  • Writes and edits award nominations and directory submissions in collaboration with practice leaders and other partners.  
  • Oversees and approves the work of marketing colleagues on firm recognition projects.
  • Assists in developing relevant firm recognition materials for use in new business pitches and RFP responses. 
  • Interfaces and develops relationships with publication editors and researchers in connection with awards, directories and surveys.  
  • Works with various firm departments to gather information needed for firm and practice surveys.  
  • Researches new opportunities and analyzes awards and directory participation and marketing efforts by peer firms. 
  • Assists in compiling peer analysis and historical recognition lists as needed.
  • Works with PR Specialist to ensure relevant best practices, feedback and other guidance are documented for future use. 
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree  
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant prior law firm experience required, including a minimum of four years managing directory, award and survey submissions

Salary Details

The starting base salary for this New York position is expected to be between $140,000 to $165,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
