Job Summary

The Technology Operations and Network Systems Intern will work in a team environment and gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Manage user and group accounts in Windows domains
  • Configure networking and connectivity in Windows Server
  • Implement network and file security in a Windows network environment
  • Performance monitoring and optimization techniques
  • Concepts and techniques related to backup and restore
  • General networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Hands on with the Citrix Suite of Products, including Xenapp, Netscaler, Profile Manager, XenMobile
  • Learn to package and distribute applications
  • Understand Software installation, configuration, customizations and troubleshooting
  • Build networks and information storage systems for high-capacity users
  • Install PC hardware and software
  • Image PCs
  • Call Center/Network Operations Center concepts, including ITSM
  • Application Testing


  • Microsoft Office 2010/2013 Suite
  • Basic Understanding of Windows Server Administration
  • Basic Understanding of Windows Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with Core Windows Components(DNS, DHCP, File/Print Services)
  • Basic Understanding of Server Virtualization
  • Working knowledge of TCPIP
  • Basic Understanding of SAN
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange concepts
  • Can describe network fundamentals and build a simple LAN
  • Understands Internet connectivity
  • Understands WAN connectivity


  • Must have completed at least 75% of required credits towards completion of a Bachelor of Science program with a concentration in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
