The Mergers and Acquisitions department of Skadden's Wilmington office is looking for a top quality associate with 4-6 years of sophisticated M&A experience at a peer firm. Applicants should have in-depth experience working on a variety of public and private M&A transactions, including representation of both private equity sponsors and strategic parties. A thorough knowledge of related corporate law, alternative entity law, corporate governance and securities law matters is required. The ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas, demonstrated leadership skills and a dedication to top quality legal service will distinguish the most qualified candidates. Experience working with LLCs and partnerships, joint ventures, REITs, and complex corporate structuring transactions will be considered a positive.
From our beginnings as a startup, Skadden forged a reputation as a global leader in mergers and acquisitions by relying on innovation, intellect, teamwork and tenacity. In some ways, little has changed.
By remaining steadfastly committed to the qualities underlying our early successes and adding to our collective experience over the decades, we are able to advise clients in almost any potential M&A scenario.
Associates who join Skadden laterally participate in an enhanced mentor program, which specifically focuses on the unique needs experienced attorneys face during professional transitions.
These efforts, along with our professional development and other Skadden benefits, including flexible schedules with work from home options, underscores Skadden's long-standing commitment to investing in its people, culture and diversity. We also have an extensive pro bono program that allows attorneys to devote, and receive credit for, time for myriad causes that spark their interests and matches those interests with the legal needs in the community.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that all newly-hired personnel in the United States must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their first day of employment.
