Ms. Rabia’s clients have included, among others, Empire State Development, Brookfield Property Partners, Qatar Investment Authority, Shed NYC, TPG Capital, Formation Capital, AIR Communities, AIMCO, Senior Resource Group, Dajia Insurance Group, Silverstein Properties, André Balazs, Ian Schrager and the Estate of Leona M. Helmsley.

Ms. Rabia represented the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in its $13 billion plan to redesign John F. Kennedy International Airport and is currently representing Empire State Development and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the redevelopment of Penn Station. In addition, Ms. Rabia represented Moynihan Station Development Corp. and Empire State Development in connection with the redevelopment of the Farley Post Office building into the Moynihan Train Hall. The approximately $3 billion project created a new train hall for LIRR and Amtrak passengers, increasing floor space in the Pennsylvania Station-Farley Complex by more than 50%. Additionally, the building is home to nearly 700,000 square-feet of commercial, retail and dining space. For several years, she has represented Shed NYC in the development of New York’s first arts center of its kind, bridging the High Line and Hudson Yards, featuring a telescoping shell on rails that will allow the structure to expand or contract to accommodate performance, visual arts, events and other works.

Other recent representative transactions include advising investors in connection with a $4.2 billion financing of industrial properties; investors in connection with a $992 million financing of a portfolio of industrial properties; investors in connection with the acquisition of $1.3 billion of debt facilities; the Qatar Investment Authority in its acquisition of the St. Regis Hotel in New York, the Park Lane Hotel in New York and a residential development in California; and Ares Management in connection with the workout of distressed debt. Other clients Ms. Rabia has advised include Alexandria Real Estate in its ground lease from the city of New York for the development of the East River Science Park, the first private bioscience project in New York City; and Starwood Capital Group in connection with the sale of the Houston Hyatt.

In addition, Ms. Rabia continues to be active in pro bono work, representing nonprofit Dream (f/k/a Harlem RBI) in developing a new high school building and was selected for inclusion in ConnectCRE’s 2021 Lawyers in Real Estate Awards. She has repeatedly been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America, was named a 2020 Real Estate MVP by Law360 and was selected to Crain’s New York Business’ inaugural list of Leading Women Lawyers in New York City. Ms. Rabia also was included among Real Estate Forum’s 2020 and 2016 Women of Influence, has been named in Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America and was named by the New York State Bar Association as a 2015 Empire State Counsel Honoree for performing more than 50 hours of pro bono work during the year.
