Participants in our summer program work on matters similar to those assigned to first year associates. Summer associates travel to client locations and assist our attorneys in addressing client needs. Summer associates will also participate in training and social events in Toronto. Attorneys in our Toronto office practice U.S. (New York) law exclusively. As a U.S. firm, our summer students will return as junior associates as there is no articling period. Our entry-level associates attend the firm's new associate retreat in New York and then participate in our full-time Associates’ Comprehensive Education (ACE) program, which provides Skadden-specific legal- and business-skills training.
The Toronto office participates in on-campus interviews at local law schools in the fall, but candidates attending other law schools may apply directly online or by sending their materials to the Hiring Partner.
