Research Assistants and Internships

Research Assistant

We offer doctoral candidates who have successfully passed the first state exam the opportunity to work as research assistants. Research assistants support specific practice areas and are treated similarly to referendars. They are welcome to attend the majority of attorney training sessions and are assigned to an associate mentor who coordinates legal work and provides feedback. With respect to their work schedule, we are flexible and can adapt to their needs, such as part-time or interlocked models.

Legal Internships

We offer law students the opportunity to complete their obligatory four - to - six week internships in either our Munich or Frankfurt office. Each legal intern is assigned to an associate mentor who coordinates work and provides feedback. Legal interns have the opportunity to attend legal trainings, attorney meetings and lectures with our attorneys. They generally are welcome to join the associates for conference calls, notarial certifications and internal meetings.

Skadden provides a highly competitive salary and benefits package that is subject to regular review.
