On March 11, the Energy Regulation and Litigation Group held its Ninth Annual Energy Enforcement and Compliance Conference in the Washington, D.C. office. Keynote speakers included FERC Commissioner Philip Moeller and litigation partner Patrick Fitzgerald. Energy regulation and litigation partners, including John Estes, practice leader John Moot, Mike Naeve and Paul Wight, led the following panel discussions: "FERC Investigations Land in Court," with Mr. Fitzgerald and securities litigation partner Jay Kasner participating as panelists; "Market Manipulation Crossfire"; "Reliability Enforcement"; "Enforcement Defense Strategy"; "Fuel Availability and Compliance Risk"; and "The Future of Energy Policy." Derivatives partner Mark Young also spoke on "CFTC Enforcement and Compliance."
