Blanche Savary de Beauregard’s practice covers a broad range of international and domestic tax matters, with a primary focus on the tax aspects of corporate and capital market transactions. She also has extensive experience in tax controversy matters and has advised several clients in tax audits and litigation cases (including criminal cases).

Prior to joining Skadden in February 2016, Ms. Savary de Beauregard was an associate at another leading American law firm.

Her experience, at and prior to joining Skadden, includes advising:

  • Westfield Corporation in its proposed combination with Unibail-Rodamco SE, creating the world’s premier developer and operator of flagship shopping destinations, with the new group’s stapled securities to be listed on the Euronext Paris and Amsterdam. The transaction implies an enterprise value for Westfield Corporation of $24.7 billion;
  • Eurazeo SE in connection with the strategic partnership with Rhone Capital;
  • Eurazeo SE in its $149 million acquisition of a 41 percent stake in LPCR Groupe;
  • ANF Immobilier in connection with the acquisition by Icade of Eurazeo’s 50.48 percent bloc of shares in ANF Immobilier, followed by a public tender offer;
  • Parrot in connection with the implementation of a strategic and capital partnership between its subsidiary Parrot Automotive and Faurecia;
  • Nokia Corporation in connection with its public tender offer of Alcatel Lucent and subsequent combination of the two groups;
  • CEVA Santé Animale in connection with its acquisition of certain assets of Merial’s animal health business in the context of Boehringer Ingelheim’s business swap with Sanofi;
  • Cheetah Mobile in connection with its $57 million acquisition of News Republic, a media content app developer;
  • E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company in its $130 billion “merger of equals” with The Dow Chemical Company and in its simultaneous $1.6 billion sale of a portion of its global crop protection business to FMC Corporation and acquisition of FMC’s Health and Nutrition business;
  • StandardAero, Inc., a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, in its acquisition of Vector Aerospace Holding SAS (France) from Airbus SE (the Netherlands);
  • a family holding a controlling interest in a major French group in connection with its long-term holding strategy and related tax issues;
  • Technicolor in connection with its $1 billion debt refinancing;
  • De Agostini in relation to the merger between Zodiak and Banijay;
  • Lafarge in connection with its $40 billion merger with Holcim; and
  • PPR (renamed Kering) and Groupe Fnac in connection with the spin-off and IPO of Groupe Fnac.

Ms. Savary de Beauregard also advises tax-exempt organizations on tax issues related to charity.

In addition, Ms. Savary de Beauregard is a member of the International Fiscal Association and of the Institut des Avocats et Conseils fiscaux, and teaches French tax law to students of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
