Xuan Zhang is a corporate lawyer who focuses on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including buyout funds, credit funds, infrastructure funds, real estate funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and funds of funds.

Bio

Ms. Zhang has broad experience advising sponsors and investors on a variety of issues, including fund formation, co-investment, internal carry arrangements, secondary transactions, and regulatory and compliance matters.

Her experience includes acting for clients such as Abax Global Capital, Adamas Asset Management, AlphaX Partners, Cenova Capital, Cherubic Ventures, CRCI, Gaja Capital, IMAX Corporation, Oaktree Capital, Sailing Capital, Fortune Capital, Skyview Fund, Tiantu Capital, Unicorn Capital, Yao Capital and Yi Capital. She also advises a number of leading Chinese corporate clients, sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds and other institutional investors.

Prior to joining Skadden in 2017, Ms. Zhang was a counsel in the investment funds practice of a leading international law firm’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices. Before that, she worked as an associate at a top-tier global law firm in New York, focusing on the formation and operation of private investment funds.

Ms. Zhang has been recognized by Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and IFLR1000, in which clients noted that she was “very experienced and knowledgeable” and “extremely responsive.”
