According to the Corporate Control Alert (January/February 2006), Skadden ranked first in the number of M&A transactions announced in 2005 with a total of 92 transactions valued at $100 million or more. This is the 14th consecutive year that Skadden has ranked first in this survey. The firm was involved in eight of the top 20 mergers and acquisitions announced in 2005, the survey also reported.
