Skadden litigators obtained a significant appellate victory for Scott Jensen, the former speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly. In 2006 Mr. Jensen, represented by another firm at the time, was convicted on three felony counts of "misconduct in public office," relating to allegations that state workers, acting on Mr. Jensen's behalf, directed state resources to Republican Party campaign activity. Skadden was retained to handle the appeal, and on Nov. 8 the Wisconsin Court of Appeals reversed the conviction and remanded the case for a new trial.
