Skadden Selected for 'Appellate Hot List'

The National Law Journal named Skadden to its “Appellate Hot List" of law firms showing exceptional appellate advocacy. The publication reviewed court cases and the track record of firms to find those with the most "significant wins . . . which meant prevailing before the U.S. Supreme Court, a U.S. circuit court of appeals or a state court of last resort when the financial stakes were high or an important legal principle was at stake." Noted in the April 7 publication were Skadden's representation of Anheuser-Bush in its putative class action alleging underage advertising, Empire State Urban Development Corp. in the Atlantic Yards redevelopment project in Brooklyn, New York, and DaimlerChrysler in its victory in a $1.3 billion securities case filed by investor Kirk Kerkorian.
