Skadden is representing BlackRock Inc. in the acquisition of $15 billion of residential mortgage-backed securities from UBS AG (Switzerland). To complete the acquisition in less then three weeks' time, BlackRock's newly created distressed asset fund raised $3.75 billion in equity from investors and secured an $11.25 billion multi-year collateralized term loan from UBS.
