Eric J. Friedman to Become Firm's Executive Partner in 2009

New York M&A partner Eric J. Friedman has been selected to succeed Robert C. Sheehan, beginning next April, as the firm's Executive Partner. Mr. Friedman, who has been with the firm since he was a summer associate in 1988, frequently represents clients in the financial services and technology-related industries and has served as a member of the Compensation Committee since 2003. During the next year, Mr. Friedman will actively participate with Mr. Sheehan and the rest of the firm management team to create a smooth transition.

Mr. Friedman has received numerous recognitions and accolades from peer review publications, including Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2004-2008); IFLR 1000: The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms (2007); and PLC Which Lawyer? (Yearbook 2007). He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1989, after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (with high distinction) from the University of Michigan in 1986.
