PLC (Practical Law Company), an international directory of law firms, has named Skadden its 2008 "North American Law Firm of the Year." As PLC reported: Skadden "edged ahead of its rivals to triumph in this category for the second consecutive year." The publication quoted in-house counsel who said, "It really is the best firm" and "Their lawyers are smart, responsive and deliver excellent work product under time pressure." In-house counsel at 6,000 companies participated in the survey.
