Turnarounds & Workouts named its annual list of 12 Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers in December 2009 and two Skadden partners have been recognized for their work.
Honored for their achievements this year: Jack Butler (for clients Delphi, which emerged from Chapter 11 in completion of a four-year reorganization process, and Sprint); and Jay Goffman (for the controlling stockholder/parent in both LyondellBasell and Charter – which, at approximately $22 billion, was the largest prearranged Chapter 11 case ever, as well as Centro, Westwood One, MGM and 84 Lumber).
The publication noted Skadden has been "at the center of nearly everything in the biggest year ever."
