For the second year in a row, Skadden was named the International Firm of the Year for Australia and New Zealand at the Australasian Legal Business Awards on May 13. The publication recognized the firm’s Sydney attorneys for several accomplishments, including their completion of a number of cross-border equity-raising transactions in 2009; their role in advising the Commonwealth of Australia in innovative deals under the Australian Government Guarantee Scheme for Large Deposits and Wholesale Funding; and their work on major corporate restructurings.
