Skadden is representing Deere & Company, which announced on Aug. 31, 2010, that John Deere Renewables, a leading operator and developer of wind power, will be acquired by Exelon Corporation. The acquisition is valued at approximately $860 million, with a provision for up to an additional $40 million upon commencement of construction on development projects. Exelon Corporation is one of the nation’s largest electric utilities with more than $17 billion in annual revenues.
