Mergers & Acquisitions named Skadden "Law Firm of the Year" in its April 2010 issue. The publication highlighted the firm's role in several high-profile engagements, including Skype and the National Hockey League, as well as M&A litigation for clients Lyondell, Activision and CME Group. "2009 seemed to be a typical type of year for Skadden," the magazine reported, noting that, "Once again, the law firm finished near the top of the league tables, but what differentiated it for the second year in a row was the prominence of the cases Skadden worked on." Skadden also received the magazine's top recognition in 2009.
