"Brother Outsider" Screening

In celebration of Black History Month, the firm hosted a screening of the documentary “Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin,” followed by a panel discussion on Mr. Rustin's legacy, including panelists Bennett Singer, a New York-based filmmaker and writer; Walter Naegle, Mr. Rustin's partner and the director of the Bayard Rustin Fund; and Damon Hewitt, the director of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.’s Education Practice and a former Skadden Fellow (’01).

“Brother Outsider” illuminates the public and private lives of Mr. Rustin, a visionary activist and strategist who has been called "the invisible man" and "the unknown hero" of the civil rights movement. The panel discussion was followed by a networking reception for all attendees.
