Skadden represented the Nassau County Interim Finance Authority, a New York State financial control board, in its New York Supreme Court victory denying Nassau County’s request for a preliminary injunction against NIFA’s exercise of control over the county’s troubled finances. On March 14, Supreme Court Justice Arthur M. Diamond ruled that, among other points, the board had constitutional and statutory authority for its action.
