Skadden represented Pfizer Inc in its successful motion to dismiss RICO and other state law claims brought by a health care service company seeking millions in damages in connection with allegations that Pfizer improperly promoted certain of its medicines for off-label use. On September 30, Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas affirmed the magistrate judge’s recommendation to grant the motion and dismissed all claims.
