New York M&A partner Nancy Lieberman was featured in a Wall Street Journal article about her triumphant return to the practice of law after a skiing accident left her in a wheelchair five years ago ("Ordeal to Deals: A Lawyer Returns," Aug. 31). The article described how, when she did her first pitch after the accident, Amylin Pharmaceuticals Chief Executive Daniel Bradbury agreed that Nancy’s limitations didn’t extend to her abilities as a lawyer. "I wasn’t looking for physical skills," he told the publication. "Nancy has an edge ... there’s no backing down and no half measures and we really needed that."
