Financial Times 2012 'US Innovative Lawyers' Report

For the third consecutive year, Skadden has been named one of the two most innovative law firms in the Financial Times' "U.S. Innovative Lawyers" report (Nov. 29, 2012). We ranked first for "legal expertise," the category that measures a firm's ability to provide innovative service. Skadden finished second overall.

In the FT's 2010 inaugural report, Skadden ranked No. 1, and last year we ranked No. 2 while receiving the top overall score in the corporate law category. No other firm has placed as one of the top two firms all three years.

2012 highlights include more ranked and first-tier matters than any other firm; the top cumulative score for corporate work for the second year in a row; first-tier matters in the corporate, litigation and energy categories; and tying for the top score as "lawyers to the innovators." The FT also named Eileen T. Nugent, Skadden's New York office leader and co-head of the firm’s Private Equity Group, as one of its "top 10 agents for change" in the legal profession.
