Skadden has swept the three major year-end lists of 2012 M&A legal advisers, finishing first by dollar value of announced deals globally, according to annual rankings published by Bloomberg (Jan. 3, 2013), mergermarket (Jan. 11, 2013) and Thomson Reuters (Jan. 3, 2013).
Highlights include:
- Bloomberg, which noted the firm's top global ranking was for representing both principals and in any advisory role, also listed Skadden first in M&A by dollar value of deals in the U.S. and in cross-border transactions.
- mergermarket named the firm the no. 1 legal adviser in its global, Americas and U.S. tables, and noted that Skadden advised on four of the top 10 announced global deals and three of the top 10 announced U.S. transactions in 2012.
- Thomson Reuters ranked Skadden first in its global, Latin America, emerging markets and BRIC M&A categories.
