Anthony Marshall Secures Medical Parole

Skadden secured immediate medical parole from prison for Ambassador Anthony D. Marshall, the 89-year-old son of philanthropist Brooke Astor, whom he was convicted of defrauding. On August 22, a three-member panel of the New York State Parole Board unanimously granted Marshall parole, determining that he is suffering from a significant and permanent nonterminal condition, is likely to remain at liberty without violating the law and is therefore unlikely to present any danger to society. Skadden was retained to represent Marshall following his remand to the New York Department of Corrections in June 2013.
