Amicus Brief Supports Federal Government's Immigration Initiatives

Skadden is counsel of record on an amici curiae brief filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, opposing a district court's injunction against deferred action immigration initiatives announced by Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson in November. Filed on April 6 on behalf of various domestic businesses and organizations, including American Apparel and the Latin-American Chamber of Commerce of Utah, the brief argues that the federal initiatives will help the nation's businesses and positively affect the country's economy.
