Purdue Pharma Secures Dismissal

On behalf of Purdue Pharma, L.P., Skadden secured a favorable ruling in a lawsuit filed by California’s Orange and Santa Clara counties accusing makers of opioid pain medicines of fraudulent marketing. On August 27, Orange County Superior Court Judge Robert J. Moss stayed the case after Skadden argued that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had primary jurisdiction over the matter.
