Build Commonwealth Obtains First-of-Its-Kind CFPB Approval

Skadden represented Build Commonwealth, Inc. in obtaining the first-ever approval under the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Compliance Assistance Sandbox Policy. Under this 2019 policy, the CFPB can provide a safe harbor from liability under various consumer compliance statutes, including by issuing a “template” that companies can use to tailor their specific applications.
