Scott Musoff, co-deputy head of Skadden’s Securities Litigation Group, was once again selected by The AmLaw Litigation Daily to share his defense-side perspectives on key securities litigation trends. Mr. Musoff noted that the recent slowdown in securities class action filings was most likely due in large part to strong market performance. He also highlighted that a significant increase in the size of these filings reflected the rising market caps of public companies. On AI-related filings, Mr. Musoff observed that their lower dismissal rates compared to other federal filings may shift as the technology becomes more widely understood.
