Skadden advised Principal Financial Group (Principal) on its definitive agreement with Southland Benefit Solutions (SBS) to acquire its single-state dental network, DentaNet. Principal will also obtain renewal rights for a block of group insurance contracts through Canopy Insurance, which, along with SBS, is a subsidiary of Collateral Holdings, LLC.
DentaNet is the largest dental network in the state of Alabama. This agreement will increase the number of Principal wholly owned dental networks.
