Partner Filipe Areno was featured in a roundtable discussion on global M&A trends published by Financier Worldwide Magazine. Mr. Areno shared his perspectives on M&A activity in Brazil, noting that despite global geopolitical tensions and market volatility, companies continue to pursue cross-border transactions driven by diversification needs, access to new markets and technological advancement.
“The US dollar’s strength has made Brazilian assets relatively cheaper for international bidders, so they remain attractive due to Brazil’s growth potential and sector-specific opportunities,” Mr. Areno said.
Mr. Areno said the cautiously positive outlook for deal volumes in Brazil is driven by strong interest from American, Middle Eastern and Chinese investors, as well as opportunities across key sectors such as infrastructure, technology and rare earth resources.
