Partner Liana-Marie Lien was named to Crain’s New York Business’ 40 Under 40 class of 2026, which recognizes “New York’s rising business and civic leaders.”
In its profile of Ms. Lien, the publication highlighted her work advising insurance companies, asset managers and private equity clients on “complex, often first-of-their-kind domestic and cross-border transactions in a highly regulated, technical industry.”
The publication attributed part of Ms. Lien’s success as a lawyer to the language, listening and communication skills she developed growing up in a multilingual New York City household.
Ms. Lien spoke about her enthusiasm for the technical nature of her practice. “What I like about structuring a transaction is that you’re dealing with a new puzzle every time,” she said.
She also emphasized the importance of mentoring associates and paying forward the guidance she has received throughout her career. “In order to build up my team, it’s incumbent on me to mentor others and provide those same opportunities,” she said.
