The Evolution of Economic Sanctions

On February 13, the Georgetown Journal of International Law (GJIL), Center for Transnational Business and the Law, and Center for National Security and the Law presented the 2013 GJIL symposium, titled “The Evolution of Economic Sanctions: Increasingly Financial, Multilateral, and Robust.” Washington, D.C. financial institutions regulation and enforcement counsel Sean Thornton joined a panel of industry leaders to discuss “The Legal Basis and Technical Operation of Financial Sanctions.”
