On May 2-3, mass torts and insurance litigation head John Beisner spoke at Duke Law School's "Future of Multi-District Litigation Conference" in Arlington, Va. The invitation-only conference will continue an ongoing interchange between the bench and the bar on improvements to the MDL process. Topics included the assignment of cases to MDL, the selection and location of MDL judges, the selection of counsel, common benefit fund/attorney fees, remands and federal-state court coordination.
