2014 Benjamin Crocker Symposium

On November 6, Los Angeles real estate partner Meryl Chae spoke at the 2014 Benjamin Crocker Symposium. The Los Angeles Symposium, hosted by the UCLA Zinman Center for Real Estate and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, brought together industry leaders to discuss the changing landscape of the real estate market and how to adapt and capitalize on these new realities. Ms. Chae spoke on a panel titled "Lost in Translation? Trends in Foreign Investments in U.S. Commercial Real Estate," which provided insights into the drivers of foreign investment in U.S. real estate, tax and deal structuring approaches, risk/return parameters, challenges in bridging cultural barriers and best practices for working with foreign investors.
