Chicago real estate head Nancy Olson spoke at PLI’s “Negotiating Commercial Leases 2014,” held November 17-18 in Chicago. Ms. Olson discussed “Lease Restructuring: Pitfalls and Benefits." She focused on topics including how best to deal with tenant requests to restructure leases; exploring ways in which landlords can benefit from tenant lease restructurings; negotiating both sides of the deal; and avoiding common pitfalls, such as failing to obtain lenders’ consent.
