PLI's 48th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation

Washington, D.C. M&A and securities regulation partner Brian Breheny and securities enforcement and compliance head Colleen Mahoney participated in PLI's "48th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation," held in New York Nov. 2-4. Mr. Breheny participated in a panel discussion titled "Disclosure in Focus: Keeping Pace With Evolving Disclosure Approaches and Requirements," covering the impact of the disclosure effectiveness initiative, emerging trends in proxy statements and periodic reports, the enforcement focused on disclosure practices, Dodd-Frank Act executive compensation requirements, and disclosure as the cornerstone for shareholder engagement. Ms. Mahoney moderated a panel discussion titled "Government Enforcement Priorities: What’s on the Agenda Now, and in 2017?" The panel focused on federal and state enforcement developments, enforcement priorities for 2017, administrative proceedings and other litigation developments, and cooperation and coordination in multiagency and cross-border investigations.
